My profession

My lifelong dream was to be a scientist, since I participated in the first science fair at my school. I was the best in my course in science subjects, the teachers always said that I had a talent for science. I liked the idea of wearing a white apron and being surrounded by lots of test tubes.

At first I planned to study something that would allow me to investigate, mainly about diseases and their cures, so I decided to study Biochemistry when I was 14. I kept that decision until I got into college. Now maybe I regret it a little bit, because I like it a lot more chemistry than biology, but I'm still studying this career because I still love it.

The aspect I love most about studying this is that you never stop learning new things, and meeting admirable people who have a lot to teach.

The part I like the most is when we can do lab internships and put into practice everything we learn in classes. While I really like theory, nothing compares to being able to mix substances with your own hands.
